How the Clip Finder Works

   Multi-query search — B-Roll Me doesn't run a single search. For each B-Roll moment in your script, it generates multiple search queries from different angles to maximize coverage.

   Transcript fetching — For each video result, the app fetches the full transcript (captions). No YouTube API key required — it uses the InnerTube protocol directly.

   Keyword matching — The transcript is searched for keywords related to your script. Matching segments are highlighted with timestamps, showing exactly where the relevant content is.

   AI relevance scoring — Each clip is scored from 0 to 100 based on how well it matches your specific B-Roll need. The AI also suggests precise start and end timestamps.

No YouTube API Key Required

B-Roll Me searches YouTube and fetches transcripts without needing a YouTube Data API key. The app uses the InnerTube protocol — the same protocol YouTube's own apps use — so search and transcript features work out of the box. No quota worries, no API setup.

You do need an AI API key (from Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, or OpenRouter) for the script analysis and clip evaluation features.

Preview and Fine-Tune

Before downloading, preview any clip in B-Roll Me's built-in player. Adjust start and end times with precision controls (+/−1 and +/−5 second buttons). Click transcript segments to jump to specific timestamps. Once you're happy with the segment, download it with one click.
